Jon Doust: The Life of a Writer

March 30, 2017

Location: Tim Winton Lecture Theatre (213.104)
Date: Friday, 7th April
Time: 2:00-3:30 p.m.

Jon Doust is a published novelist, ex-stand-up comedian, and he is coming to Curtin. He co-authored the Australian based children’s fiction Magpie Mischief and Magwheel Madness with Ken Spillman, while his adult fiction Boy On A Wire was longlisted for a Miles Franklin award in 2010.

If you dream of being a writer or published novelist this is a great opportunity to learn from someone who has been in the industry for years. Listen to key insights on writing, getting published and what happens afterwards.

Whether you’re a writer, reader, or just interested in hearing some inspiring stories from an interesting life than this is the event for you.

The talk will include a Q&A so come with your questions ready.

This event is free for Curtin Writers Club members and $2.50 for other Curtin students. We will be checking membership at the door.

Details of our event are up on Facebook, and you can book your tickets through Eventbrite.
